2009 Tony Awards nominations announced
The nominees for the American Theatre Wing’s 63rd Annual Antoinette Perry “Tony” Awards were announced May 5 by Tony Award winners Cynthia Nixon (Rabbit Hole) and Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights).
The nominations took place at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center in New York.
The Tony Awards are the most prestigious awards in the theatre world. Who do YOU think will win?
The 2009 Tony Awards will take place on Sunday, June 7 at Radio City Music Hall, with CBS presenting a live broadcast from 8-11 p.m. Eastern/7-10 p.m. Central.
